Registering to be a blood, organ, tissue or bone marrow donor is an act of great kindness that could save or improve the lives of many people.

You can become a blood donor when you are 17 if you are generally fit and well, and weigh over 50kg (7st 12lbs). Under 17? Click here to find out how to pledge to donate once you're old enough.

To become a bone marrow donor, you need to join a bone marrow registry, and be over 18.

You can join the NHS Organ Donor Register at any age.
